A STATE-of-the-art care home boasting a cinema, bar, and spa bath is now open for viewings after years of construction.
Pinetree Care Home, in Rawreth Lane, Rayleigh, is a 60-bed care home which is offering “high-quality” living accommodation and care to elderly residents.
After two years of construction, the care home is now open for viewings ahead of first residents moving in during the summer months.
The stunning care home provides a host of facilities including a cinema, television lounges, a spa bath, a hairdressing salon, as well as a sensory room.
The care home, run by Barchester Healthcare, is part of a wider plan for a new residential scheme for hundreds of homes, north of London Road in Rayleigh.
Laura Glyde, general manager at Pinetree Care Home, ensured residents will be given exceptional care.
She said “We are thrilled our stunning new home is ready to welcome visitors.
“It is a wonderful way for people to come and find out about the exceptional care we provide and meet the friendly team who will be looking after our residents.
“Personalised care really is at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking forward to meeting all our neighbours and building new friendships within the local community.”
The home will offer three types of care which are residential, dementia, and respite.
At the heart of Pinetree is also ensuring residents, no matter their age, can still live life to the fullest.
So, they run an activities programme so that our residents can get the most out of every day.
This includes visits from entertainers, pantos, and choirs. Residents will also have a choice of television lounges and quiet rooms as well as a number of kitchens for those who enjoy baking and cooking.
Ellie Cairns, home services advisor at Barchester Healthcare, previously told the Echo: “We are really keen on giving these people the best chance to live well.
“Residents are safe but not restricted and so they can still be who they are. Our team are very good at making sure it is person-centred. What they want matters. That is very important and at the heart of what we are doing.”
