Essex County Council (Al27 Southend Arterial Road Southend Bound Carriageway & High Road North, Basildon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2011 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Al27 Southend Arterial Road Southend Bound Carriageway & High Road North in the Borough of Basildon as specified: Road - Al27 Southend Arterial Road Southend Bound Carriageway, Basildon
Description - i. From the point of divergence from the B184 off slip eastwards for a distance of approximately 4000 metres to the point of convergence with the A176 on slip.
Alternative Route - i. Al27 - B148 Westmayne, St Nicholas Lane, A176 Uppermayne northbound. Description - ii. From the point of divergence from the A176 off slip, including on slip, to the point of divergence with Pipps Hill Road North off slip, a distance of approximately 1500 metres.
Alternative Route - ii. A176 Uppermayne southbound, Al235 Cranes Farm Road eastbound, A132 Eastmayne northbound
Road - High Road North, Basildon
Description - From its junction with the Al27 Fortune of War Roundabout, north for a distance of 25 metres
Alternative Route - High Road North - High Road Nth northbound, A176 Noak Hill Road southbound. The closures are scheduled to commence on 5 December 2011 for 3 nights between the hours of 22:00 hours and 05:00 hours or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst carriageway resurfacing works is undertaken by Essex County Council. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure. The Order will come into effect on 5 December 2011 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated: 1 December 2011.
