Braintree boss expands business with deal

An ambitious Colchester mum has expanded her business.

Sabina Weronika Kupczyk already owns a Braintree-based branch of the Subway sandwich shop, which is run by her husband, Jaspinder.

After seeing the Colchester store up for sale, Sabina snapped it up, with the help of NatWest.

Mum-of-one Sabina says: “We have always wanted to have our own business, so joining the Subway franchise network seemed ideal. We are happy to serve the local community and to be able to promote healthier options.

“As a young couple with a baby, it’s also a good way for us to build a nice life for our family.

“In the next couple of months, the plan is to build a new store from scratch and challenge ourselves even further.”

NatWest helped Sabina buy her second franchise, which includes money to remodel the shop.

Samantha Smith, relationship manager for NatWest, adds: “Sabina and Jaspinder are a pleasure to work with and have ambitious plans for the future.

“They certainly have the determination and skills it takes to grow a successful business and it is a pleasure to have been able to give them the support they needed.”
