Hardline private litter wardens binned by council

A PRIVATE litter firm, made up of ex-cops and soldiers, and paid to keep Basildon's streets clean, has been dumped by Basildon Council.

The authority employed the services of XFor in April 2012 for a year-long trial.

Despite announcing that the four private litter wardens patrolling the borough would cost the council nothing, the authority ended up incurring a cost as many people issues with fines did not pay.

hold on..... so XFor issued the penalties but now the offenders havent paid its Xfors fault? Why dont the council pursue the offenders through the court system or however its supposed to happen? Or maybe thing outside the box and take it from the offenders benifits?

So will the police,who have the authority to get your identity,be booking people who drop litter,or are they too busy?
