Firefighters called to bedroom fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat in Rydene Place, Basildon, at 5.45pm yesterday.
A fire had broken out in the bedroom of a third floor flat.
they spent 35 minutes extinguishing the flames and then ventilated the property.
