Police seize bags stuffed with drugs
TWO suspected drug dealers were arrested after police seized rucksacks packed with cannabis.
The Class B drug recovered by officers was ready to hit the streets and is thought to have a street value running into thousands of pounds.
Police raided the home in Prince Edward Road - off Greens Farm Lane - in Billericay following a tip-off cannabis was being sold from the home.
After battering down the door on Friday, police searched the home and quickly found several rucksacks packed with herbal cannabis.
They arrested two men on suspicion of dealing the drug.
After the men had been taken to Basildon police station for questioning, officers remained in the house to search the premises.
*Two men, aged 31 and 23, have been charged with possessing a Class B drug. They will appear at court next month.
