I cant believe that police have CCTV footage to find these thugs and yet when i had an attempted robbery in november of last year by 2 men with a knife the police had no CCTV footage as there is no CCTV from Toys R Us all the way down to where Barclays bank used to be . I sent an message to The Echo to start a petition to the council for CCTV but obviously the Editor thought it wasn't important enough . Well is Basildon a safe place to be now and is it safe for our children and families ..... i think not and theres nothing we can do but sit back and allow crime to continue . What a sickening thought but its the truth
