MORE than 150 people took part in a marathon Zumba session in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Fundraisers from Southampton, Totton, Hythe and Marchwood were among those who gathered at Totton Health and Leisure Centre for a four-hour Zumbathon.
They hope the high-energy dance session will raise at least £4,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
Nicky Snowden, one of the instructors involved in the event, lost her best friend to breast cancer last year and one of her helpers, Jolene Webb, saw her stepmother succumb to the disease.
Xanthe Harrison, one of the other women who helped stage the Zumbathon event, lost her father to stomach cancer.
