Fire crews rescue female driver from overturned car in Hockley

TWO fire trucks were called to Hockley this morning after a car overturned and landed in a ditch.
Fire crews from Rayleigh were dispatched at around 9.30am and freed the female driver using specialist rescue equipment.
Sub Officer Rick Williams, of Rayleigh Weir, fire station said: "One car left the roadway after being in collision with another car, it then flipped over and ended up in the bracken covered verge.
“The woman driver was trapped in the vehicle and crews used specialist rescue equipment to bring her to safety."
The woman was placed in the care of the Ambulance Service by 9.55am.
