A TEENAGER has been charged with robbery after allegedly stealing a hat from another boy in Chafford Hundred.
The 16-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, is accused of robbing a 15-year-old on Friday.
The incident is said to have taken place at about 7.30pm while the younger teen was walking along a cycle path between Gilbert Road and Rainbow Road.
The 16-year-old, who is from Chafford Hundred, has been released on conditional bail to appear before Basildon Youth Court on December 24.
Police are still appealing to trace a man who was walking his dog and is believed to have seen the incident.
He is asked to call Det Con Stallard at Grays police station on 101.
