SOUTHEND Coastguard was called to Westcliff beach yesterday after a petrol fuel tank was found there.
The Coastguard received the call at 11.05am and notified Southend Environmental Service who quickly removed the tank from the beach.
Other items and debris, which came from a motor boat which had sunk on its mooring during adverse weather conditions, were found on the beach by the Coastguard.
There was no reported pollution due to the incident.
