New pictures show how Basildon's Trafford House could be transformed if it is sold

A LANDMARK building, which has been on the market for almost a decade, could soon be finally sold.
London29 has been drafted in to sell Trafford House, in Cherrydown East, Basildon, after a previous plan to shift the building fell flat in 2011.
The building is being marketed with outline planning permission for 359 flats and ten storeys of retail space, which was granted three years ago - and Computer Generated Images show how the building could look once a development starts.
The firm claims it has spoken to 1,500 companies in its bid to shift the building.
It has even touted it as far away as China and directors at the firm claim there is plenty of interest ahead of putting the site out to tender in the next fewweeks.
Edward Carter, from London29, said: “We’re confident a sale can be reached soon – we wouldn’t be good at our jobs if we weren’t.”
While any firm which buys the building could use it for a variety of things, it is being marketed for homes and shops – and forms a big part of Basildon Council’s town centre regeneration plan.
Until 2005, the building was used by Ford, but it has been empty since.
