A NURSERY owner has been charged with abusing a child in her care at a Billericay nursery.
Emma Panting, 49, who runs the Abacus Day Nursery in Orchard Avenue, Billericay, has been charged with one count of child cruelty, two counts of common assault and a racially aggravated section 5 public order offence.
Nursery worker Rosie Dunn, 24, of Prower Close, Billericay, has also been charged with one count of racially aggravated section 5 public order.
Both have been bailed to appear before Basildon Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 10.
