Basildon Recorder: Wickford man killed his mum Wickford man killed his mum

A WICKFORD man killed his mum.

A jury at Chelmsford Crown Court today found Emmanuel Kalejaiye, 21, was not guilty of murdering his mum Tolu Kalejaiye, 44, at their Wethersfield Way home.

The jury said Kalejaiye was guilty of manslaughter through diminished responsibility.

He was sharp enough to come up with the story and say it in court. If he was out of his mind at the time (which he probably was..) that's the defence his lawyers should have used.
