A BILLERICAY woman has been arrested in connection with making counterfeit clothes and money laundering.

Officers from the Eastern Regional Asset Recovery Team, part of Eastern Region Specialist Operations Unit, Essex Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary raided six houses in Billericay, Watford, Elstree, Borehamwood and Bushey on Tuesday morning.

Four men were arrested at the homes in Hertfordshire and 43-year-old woman was arrested at a house in Billericay on suspicion of breaching trademark offences and money laundering.

Officers worked with industry brand experts including Adidas, Nike, Superdry, Ralph Lauren and Under Armour and the intellectual property office.

All five people, which include a 41-year-old man from Bushey, a 41-yeear-old man from Borehamwood, a 47-year-old man from Elstree and a 28-year-old woman from Watford, are being questioned at police stations across Hertfordshire and Essex.
