POLICE are investigating after a cyclist was found lying in the street with head injuries.

Officers were called to Long Ridings in Basildon at about 10pm on Sunday after a man was found on the ground.

The 53-year-old from Westcliff was taken to Basildon Hospital with a bleed on the brain.

Police believe the injury happened when he fell from his bike.

It is not known if there is a vehicle involved in the incident.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the cyclist, who was smartly dressed, to contact Ps Mark Ammon at Laindon policing unit on 101 extension 481128 or via email at Mark.ammon@essex.pnn.police.uk.

And where in the copy does it say he was drunk?

There you go again... assumptions.

I have a few about you but they're not printable unfortunately.

If you can't make a valid point without making inferences and assumptions, don't bother at all.

....and the report doesn't state whether he had been wearing one at the time of the accident. Yet another assumption.
