SOME of the heaviest and tallest Monster Trucks in the world are on their way to south Essex.

The No 1 Monster Truck team will bring high thrill action to the Essex Country Show at Barleylands, Billericay, on September 13 and September 14, when they are set to pulp and flatten scrap Essex cars.

Completely exhilarating to watch, the biggest Truck at the Show is aptly called Big Pete, a 7.4 litre V8 Chevrolet at over 7.5 tonnes, 13 feet wide, 18 feet long and 15 feet tall. Plus with tyres standing at 4 ft tall, he will be ready to crush, along with fellow Monster Truck, The Grimm Reaper.

The team driving these huge Monster vehicles travel all over the world and include the UK’s only female driver, Karen Shutler, who is just 27 years old. Karen will be joined by Veteran Monster Truck Driver, Michael Murty.

Karen said: “We are looking forward to bringing our Monster Truck show back to Essex this September. Over the two days, 20 different cars will be crushed by Big Pete and The Grimm Reaper. It’s completely adrenaline pumping and we can’t wait!”

The Monster Truck Show will take place twice daily in the Main Arena at the Essex Country Show.

Celebrating the best of rural Essex, past and present, the Essex Country Show brings together the very best arena events, demonstrations, attractions and exhibitions. Now in its 28th Year, this year also sees a brand new Newfoundland dog rescue display, Peppa Pig, a vintage funfair and over 70 crafts from yesteryear.
