LOCAL youth charity Essex Boys and Girls Clubs will be running the 37th Annual Essex Jailbreak on Saturday 18th April 2015.
No previous experience is needed to enter a team – just 4 friends or colleagues who are up for an adventure.
The event is a fundraising challenge with a twist – the teams all get locked inside the gates of HM Prison Chelmsford just before 9am, where jailbreakers are held for just a few minutes before the gates open and their challenge begins.
Teams must race against time to get as far away as possible in just 15 hours.
Teams can’t spend any money on their escape. They can choose to wing it on the day or plan ahead to raise donations of transport.
For anyone who wants to fundraise for a project, group or charity can enter, as the event is a 50/50 fundraiser – 50% goes to the charity of your choice and 50% goes to the organisers – youth charity Essex Boys & Girls Clubs.
To take part, all you need do is enter your team of up to 4 people using the entry form at www.essexboysandgirlsclubs.org/EssexJailbreak.htm, then start making your escape plans.
