NINE men are being held at an immigration centre after jumping off the back of a lorry on the A13.
Fifteen people were arrested by police on January 9 after traffic cops spotted them launching themselves off the back of a lorry andrunning along the A13 at the Five Bells, Basildon.
It is understood the lorry was driving towards Southend after entering the country through Tilbury docks.
The asylum seekers are from Eritrea.
Six of the fifteen illegal immigrants are children and are currently being looked after by Essex County Council.
The lorry driver is being investigated by the Home Office’s crime team.
