It seems to me that you totally miss the scale of the issue. The UK has one F1 race per year and about 26,000,000 road cars. Banning F1 in UK would make about 0.002% difference. I am a motorsports enthusiast. I am also a car enthusiast, and I could not give two pence about the fact if I am destroying the environment by driving around in my 10-cylinder gas guzzling sports car. I pay the price for the gas, I paid the price for the car, and I pay the price for cable so I can watch my favourite F1 and LeMans drivers "destroy the planet". It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
