FOR a high society lady, who once captured the heart of an F1 driver, it just wouldn't do to turn up the throttle on anything too racy.

That's why model and socialite Florence Brudenell Bruce looks a picture of femininity in her latest shoot.

The 23-year-old, a descendent of the 7th Earl of Cardigan, who dated Jenson Button for two years, epitomises a winning formula of striking underwear with a retro twist for Knickerbox.

The range is girly lingerie, nightwear and hosiery. Gone are the over-shiny satins, eye-assaulting colours, and scratchy ruching that can make some designs look cheap in favour of a more delicate palette of two-tone colours and practical shapes.

Boy shorts, pretty chemises and French knickers with simple ruffles, a profusion of bows and lashings of lace are key ingredients in creating a sensual appeal on a budget.

It's not the first time that Florence, known as Flee to her family and friends, has de-robed for the camera.

She danced around in couture underwear for the video to Tiny Dancer by hip hop act Ironik, and last year was the face of John Lewis' swimwear campaign.

The pretty art history graduate makes her silver screen debut in Bollywood love story Love Aaj Kal which is released today and is showing at the Odeon cinema at Springfield Quay.
