Detectives investigating the death of a man at a farmhouse in Little Burstead are renewing their appeal for the driver of a white van to contact them.
The man, aged in his 60s, waved down a woman motorist who was travelling along Blind Lane at around 9am on Thursday, July 30. He was standing next to a white Ford van and told her that two fire engines had driven past and the road may be blocked ahead.
That morning, 46-year-old Ricci Gallagher was taken to hospital having been found injured at a house in Sudburys Farm Road. He died a week later.
Police are also appealing to trace the driver of a white flat-bed pick-up truck with black sides which was carrying scrap metal and a 45 gallon drum which turned right from Blind Lane on to Billericay Road towards Herongate at around 8.40am on July 30.
These people or anyone who may know who they are is asked to contact Major Crime detectives on 101 ext 486160 or email SCDappeals@essex.pnn.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Two men, aged 60 and 53, remain on bail pending further enquiries until November 25.
