NEARLY 13,000 residents have signed up for the MySouthend Service since its launch in September 2015, with a new competition launching to attract even more sign ups.

MySouthend is a secure online service where residents and businesses can manage transactions such as council tax and business rates securely 24 hours a day.

Those who have registered can access their accounts securely online, saving them time calling or visiting the Council.

Andrew Moring, councillor responsible for Corporate and Community Support, said: “We now have over 12,800 registered residents which is a great achievement and is enabling our staff to prioritise more vulnerable and elderly customers and those with complex queries.

“MySouthend allows our residents to manage their bills more efficiently and securely 24 hours a day and saves everyone time. I would urge every local person to sign up and have a chance at winning the latest prize.”

Two sets of five Adventure Island tickets, for residents who register by Thursday June 30, are now up for grabs.

This follows the most recent competition which will see Kirstey Ware, from Southcurch receive an iPad for registering for MySouthend in February.
