A MAN has been charged with 20 shoplifting offences and two burglaries.

Pavel Gondolan, 26, a car valeter, of Brightwell Avenue, Westcliff, was arrested in Hadleigh on Wednesday June 22.

He was charged with:

• A burglary at The Co-Operative Food in Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea, on July 30, 2015 and a burglary at an address in Park Road, Westcliff on October 14, 2015.

• Three counts of theft from Sainsbury’s in Rochford on January 30 and 31, 2016 and November 17, 2015

• Two counts of theft from BP in Rayleigh on June 5, 2016 and June 9, 2016

• Three counts of theft from The Co-Operative Food in Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea, on April 3, 2016, November 20, 2015 and April 24, 2015

• Three counts of theft from BP in Benfleet on April 17, 2016, May 9, 2016 and May 13, 2016

• Theft from BP in London Road, Hadleigh, on May 18, 2016

• Two counts of theft from The Co-Operative Food in Rochford on November 15, 2015 and March 22, 2016, and attempted theft from the same store on November 17, 2015

• Theft from M&S in London Road, Westcliff, on January 31, 2016 • Attempted theft from Tesco in Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, on November 24, 2015

• Two counts of theft from The Co-Operative Food in Benfleet on March 7, 2016 and June 22, 2016

• Theft from Iceland in Benfleet on March 1, 2016.

He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Friday June 24 and was remanded in custody to appear at Basildon Crown Court on July 22.
