COMMUTERS on the c2c line have become the first in the country to be able to track how punctual their individual commute has been.

Passengers using the train operator’s Smartcard will now receive their own personalised report via the c2c Live app, showing how many of the trains they recently travelled on arrived within one minute and within five minutes of schedule.

Delivery director Kevin Frazer said: “We always aim to run the most punctual service possible for our customers, so we are very proud of our success in establishing c2c as the UK’s most punctual train operator.

“However, what matters for our customers is the service they personally experience, so now everyone has a chance to see for themselves exactly how punctual their personal commute has been.”

As well as getting personal punctuality reports, c2c Smartcard users can also receive automatic compensation if their train is as little as two minutes late. One in four annual season ticket holders now use the c2c Smartcard, which is more than on any other train operator in the country.

The latest Network Rail figures show that overall 96.3 per cent of c2c trains arrived on time in the past 12 months, making it the best performing rail operator in the UK – the average being only 88.5 per cent punctuality.
