Organisers have revealed the line-up for this year's "bigger and better" Sausage and Cider Festival in Southend.

Tribute acts for legendary bands including Jamiroquai, Oasis, Take That, Arctic Monkeys and Chic will be performing at the popular event this summer as it returns to Priory Park after last year's success - with a "huge" headliner yet to be announced.

They will be joined by special guest Shaun Williamson, best known for playing Barry in Eastenders and a satirical version of himself in the sitcom Extras, who will host his Barrioke act - a unique take on karaoke.

Revellers are told to expect the festival's biggest range yet with more than 30 cider flavours, alongside craft beer, spirits, wine, cocktails and soft drinks, alongside 20-plus sausage flavours ranging from maple to chilli, vegetarian and cheese.

With a huge festival market, fan favourite silent disco, on-stage sausage eating contests and 6-round chilli eating competitions, there will be plenty more entertainment for festival-goers.

Children will also get a "bigger and better" stage with a disco, face painting, and even more live entertainers and character dress up than 2023.

Lee Fudge, marketing manager for Sausage and Cider Festival, commented: “With such a wide range of live music and entertainment, we are expecting our biggest year yet!

“Along with an already huge line-up, we are delighted to have Jamirrorquai at the Sausage and Cider Festival.

“As well as an even bigger and better kids stage and the return of the much loved silent disco. There’s something for the whole family!”

The event will run from 2pm until 11pm on June 29, with tickets on sale now at tickettailor.com/events/eventticket/1097974.
