A “FLOURISHING” primary school is committed to “delivering exceptional educational outcomes” after becoming the latest south Essex school to join a successful trust.

Barons Court Primary School and Nursery, in Avenue Road, Westcliff, is celebrating “starting an exciting new chapter” after joining the Learning in Harmony Trust.

The trust has built a reputation for success and manages 11 other schools, including Blenheim Primary School, in Leigh, Greenways Primary School, in Southend, Edwards Hall Primary School, in Eastwood, and Temple Sutton Primary School, in Southend.

Julia Jones, headteacher at Barons Court Primary School, said: “We are pleased to be joining the Learning in Harmony Trust’s family of schools.

“Over the past year, we have been working closely with leaders from across the trust and have started to form a strong support network with each of the other schools.

“It is exciting for us to have new partners to share expertise and work collaboratively to deliver exceptional educational outcomes for our pupils.

“I would like to thank each of our pupils, staff members, parents and the wider community for their continued support as we begin an exciting new chapter of our journey.”

Barons Court Primary School and Nursery is currently rated “outstanding” after an inspection in March 2023 and has around 300 pupils at the school.

Joining the trust will see staff and leaders working closely with the group of leaders across the trust’s “close-knit community of schools”, who meet regularly to share ideas to ensure each child is supported in unlocking their full potential”.

Gary Wilkie, CEO of Learning in Harmony Trust, said: “I am delighted and proud to be welcoming Barons Court Primary School and Nursery to our Trust’s family. They exemplify our core values and have showcased a strong track record of putting their pupils and their community at the heart of all that they do.

“I am very much looking forward to continuing to get to know the staff, pupils and the wider community of the school.”
