LET The Good Times Roll is a musical production steeped in nostalgia.
As well as music from the Fifties and Sixties, the show features pictures, newspaper cuttings and historic facts from the era.
The show is coming to Basildon’s Towngate Theatre on Tuesday.
It begins with a group of pensioners in a bar reminiscing about days gone by. The times when they were in a band performing with the likes of Buddy Holly through to the Beatles. All they wish for is a chance to take a trip back in time, just to do it one more time.
Dreams do come true. A clock begins to roll back the years, taking the audience back to the Fifites. The gentlemen at the bar are returned back to the glory days, at a time when they are ready to perform live music in the same old bar.
