Is missing Kent teen in South Essex?

POLICE believe a missing schoolgirl could be in South Essex.

Residents and motorists are now being asked to keep an eye out for 15-year-old Scarlett Goobie.

The teen was last seen at Herne Bay railway station in Kent on Thursday August 16.

She has not been seen since and police believe she could be in South Essex where she is known to have friends.

Scarlett is white, around 5ft 5ins tall, stocky, with shoulder-length dark brown hair which is usually worn in a pony tail.

She was last seen wearing dark blue trousers, a mint green shirt and a grey cardigan. Scarlett may also have a large black handbag with her.

Anyone with information about Scarlett’s whereabouts can contact police in Kent on 101.

Yes, the story has now been updated with a photo. It's a shame it takes a member of the public to point out the obvious to the echo that a photo helps when looking for a missing person.

Missing 15-year-old found in Thurrock
A FIFTEEN-year-old girl missing for nearly two weeks has been found in Thurrock.
Concerns had grown for the teenage girl Scarlett Goobie, 15. She was last seen at Herne Bay railway station on August 16.
Kent Police and Essex Police had both sent out press releases and messages on social media sites asking for the press and public help.
It is understood that Scarlett was found in the Orsett area.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Scarlett is safe and well and has returned home.”
