I dunno - these 'cuts' we keep hearing about yet they send a helicopter if someone so much as grazes their knee.
How the **** you can crash on a dual carriageway, everyone going in the same direction is beyond me.
Probably the same sort of idiots unable to negotiate Sadlers Farm's signs.

And the road was closed in both directions because........? Oh, I forgot - to land the bloody helicopter no doubt.

If your involved in a accident like this, lets hope the helicopter is available, because the fast and swift actions probably just about saved this mans life.

As previously stated, he could have had a blow out or the sun could have got in his eyes which means it would be an accident and therefore insurance companies would deal with it.
However, if he was doing something stupid like....120mph, weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating etc then more fool him.
Let's just hope the driver taken to hospital is ok as those charges could go up!
As for the ridiculous comment by Rochford Rob, you might find that they closed it both ways to prevent rubberneckers causing another accident on the other side of the road while the situation was dealt with. Therefore saving money on emergency services.
