A ROAD has been closed following a two-vehicle crash.
The crash happened at around 2.30pm today on Clay Hill Road, Basildon.
Police closed the road between the junctions of Swallow Dale and Sparrows Herne.

Its that stupid give way thing that has probably caused the crash. You have to come onto the other side of the road, and if a driver is coming up pretty quick on the otherside, then bang, you have got yourself a nasty little head on. It was safer as it was before.

Speaking to eye witnesses, the white van was speeding and tried to overtake a car and hit the woman head on coming in other direction. Typically, he is okay and the woman is in hospital.
