IF you missed out on securing a London Marathon ballot place, you can still pull on your running shoes for charity.
Havens Hospices is looking for runners to join Team Havens to pound the streets of the capital at next year’s Virgin London Marathon.
Applications for a gold bond place to take on the 26.2mile course in 2013 are now open.
The charity has to raise more than £100,000 every week to be able to care for every child and adult who needs specialist hospice care, so runners who secure a charity place are asked to raise £1,500 in sponsorship.
All runners will be offered support in reaching their fundraising target, as well as a full package of other benefits to see them through their training right up until the big day.
