Halstead: Woman victim of 'homophobic attack'

A young mum claims she was the victim of a homophobic attack.

Sarah Moore, 25, was punched and kicked in Bridge Street, Halstead, by two men late on Saturday night.

An Essex Police spokesman: “An assault was reported to have occurred in Bridge Street, Halstead, on the evening of Saturday and during the early hours of Sunday.

“Due to matters beyond our control, police have been unable to made appointments with the informant to take a statement.

“Someone will be in touch to arrange another suitable time.

“We are sorry for any distress this may have caused.”
