Woman slashed in the stomach in street attack

A WOMAN was slashed in the stomach in a terrifying attack.

Police believe her attacker may also have been behind an earlier incident in the Summer involving a separate woman.

In the latest incident the victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking along Ravenscourt Drive, Vange, when the thug approached her from behind. He was abusive and then slashed her stomach with a weapon.

The incident happened at 3pm on Friday.

Police are linking it to an incident on Wednesday September 26 when another woman, also in her 30s, was pinned against a wall by her attacker. He threatened her before running off.
