THIEVES broke into a car causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage and stole just a 49p packet of mints.
 

The car, belonging to Sidney Perry, was one of three broken into in Puckleside, Langdon Hills.
 

Crooks smashed the window of the Fiat Qubo, causing around £200 damage, before stealing the packet of Trebor Mints from inside.
 

They also smashed the windows of a Ford KA and a Peugeot 206 stealing the radio fascia from the Peugeot.
 

Police are probing the latest break-ins, which happened between 6pm on Sunday and 8am the next day.

do they really think they broke in to get to the 49p mints..? ridiculous, they would have looked for valuables, found none and either took the mints or maybe they weren't even there in the first place.

Fancy leaving a pack of Trebors on the seat. We are told on BBC Crimewatch NEVER leave Trebor extra strong mints on a seat, lock em in the dashboard. Did this man listen ?

Whats that about 9 and 9 pence. You can buy a pack od 4 in Asdas for just under 30 bob, thats value

Oh come on, this is a non story really.
Of course they didn't break in for the mints - they were probably after the tin foil in the wrapper to short cicruit another car!

I really much doubt they were after the packet of mints. But if they were, that has to be the most expensive pack of mints in the world.
