SIR – Oh what a shame: Gary Harper, solicitor, is hitting out at the government (Law rejig could be our death sentence Worcester News, May 30). Well, solicitors and barristers have been making millions in legal aid over the years.
Now it’s time for them to eat jam sandwiches like us overstretched taxpayers who have been funding the legal aid system.
Funny how they fail to mention the ordinary person on the street who can’t afford over-inflated charges and need to rely on legal aid.
