Villagers are up in arms over two proposals for a total of 63 homes in North Fambridge.
Plans for 30 homes at Manor Farm, The Avenue, follow a recent application for 10 flats, 22 houses, plus a village shop with a flat over it in lane south of Strathmore Road Manor Farm applicant Morris Raven said: “I’ve had to stop farming because of ill health and selling the land is my only choice.
“There is nothing else I can do with it."
Last Monday, the parish council called an extraordinary meeting to discuss concerns over development.
Chairman Hayden Garrood said: “We looking at the very serious objections the village as a totality has against planning applications at this moment in time because of the sewage system.”
