A WOMAN woke up to find two teenage boys trying to break in to her house.
Police were called to a house in Clay Hill Road in Basildon at about 3pm on Monday.
They initially received a call from a neighbour who spotted two lads scoping out the property.
However while officers were en-route the owner of the house woke up from an afternoon nap and disturbed the pair.
Police used the police helicopter to search the area and a 17-year-old boy was arrested a short time later in Broadmayne.
He was taken to Basildon Police Station for questioning and has been charged to appear at Basildon Youth Court on October 28.
A 15-year-old boy was also arrested in connection with the incident. He has been bailed to return to Basildon Police Station on November 5.
