Police have appealed for information following a series of burglaries in the Billericay area, believed to have been carried out by the same thieves.
All four break-ins are thought to have been carried out in daylight on Thursday, October 9.
Two men, both white and aged between 18 and 20, are suspected of being involved and they may have used a dark-coloured Saab car.
The first incident was reported at 11.28am when two men were disturbed after removing a window to enter a property at Pine Drive, Ingatestone. They fled empty-handed.
One of the men was about 5ft 6in tall, had short light brown hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit. The second man was slightly taller and was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit.
The second incident was reported at 1.15pm at Frithwood Close, Billericay, where intruders forced the front door and took a quantity of jewellery while the occupant was out for the morning.
Burglaries at Fairfield Rise and Ian Road, Billericay were also discovered when the occupants returned home in the evening, but both were believed to have occurred during the day. Jewellery and other items were taken.
Anyone with information about the incidents should contact officers at Billericay on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
