Police are investigating a robbery at a newsagents in Basildon.
At around 2.50pm on Wednesday, April 1, a man entered the Martin newsagents in Whitmore Way, armed with a knife, and demanded money from the till.
The male cashier opened the till and the man fled with a three-figure sum of cash.
The suspect is described as white, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt which had darker area by the pockets, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, dark coloured gloves and a dark coloured scarf covering the bottom half of his face.
He spoken with a local accent.
