Police are searching for this man in connection with the theft of fuel from a petrol station.
A man made off from BP Fortune Connect on the A127 Arterial Road, Laindon, without paying for petrol he had put into a stolen Volkswagen Golf.
He queued to pay for the petrol at about 7am on September 18 but when the bank card’s contactless payment didn’t work, he told cashiers he would use the cash point outside to withdraw the cash he owed.
Instead, he drove off without paying.
Police later discovered that the car had been stolen from a driveway in Poplar Grove, Burnham, sometime earlier that day or the evening before.
