Tony looks for a psychic apprentice on new TV show

MOVE over Alan Sugar, there’s a new TV boss in town – and his skills are quite literally out of this world.

Psychic Tony Stockwell, 40, has been taking on his own apprentices for a new Sky television show.

Tony’s Psychic Academy follows a similar format to the hit BBC series the Apprentice, fronted by Brentwood millionaire Alan Sugar, with six budding mediums competing to be Tony’s apprentice.

The series, which starts on the Biography Channel this week, will show the whole process of selecting the apprentices from thousands of hopefuls.

Tony, 40, from Wickford, said: “I don’t think I was as harsh as Alan Sugar, but I don’t know how I’ll come across.

“You will definitely see me getting frustrated with the apprentices at times.”

Tony, who has been a medium for 20 years, teaches the apprentices how to talk to the dead, learn the art of psychic detection and read people’s minds.

He also believes psychic ability is more common than most people think.

He said: “If someone has a basic ability you can really work with that to hone the skill.

“We started off with basic stuff like reading tea leaves and looking into crystal balls before taking them out on to the High Street in Peckham to confront strangers and see if they could give them an accurate reading.”

Born in Walthamstow, Tony moved to Canvey when he was four and lived there for 20 years before moving to Wickford, where he now runs a psychic school in the High Street.

He has also appeared in Living TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic School and Zone Reality TV’s Psychic Private Eyes, and has had three books published.

Tony, a former pupil at Canvey’s Furtherwick Park school, is so busy at the moment he is very keen for an apprentice to take on some of his workload.

He said: “I picked the one with the most potential.

“They are now doing more development work with me, in the hope they can eventually work alongside me.”

The show starts at 9pm this Thursday.

Tony Stockwell needs to concentrate on his waiting list of people for one to one readings rather than getting famous! I have been on his waiting list since I last saw him which is now over 5 years ago and when I enquire I keep being told he is working his way through the list - yeh right! Though he is a great medium, priorities I think need to be sorted!

Tony IS already famous. Everything comes to those who wait, and NO matter how long it takes.

I have been trying for AGES to join a Circle and I get to join one next week. I'm NOT complaining.

If I'm wrong then these people do what they do for free then. They don't charge people?

It's all a lot of fairground, cross-my-palm-with-s
ilver nonsense.

There is no such thing as ghosts, there is no such thing as an 'afterlife'. You die, you're buried, that's it.

If this guy really could read minds etc. then he wouldn't need to go through a selection process, the 'spirits' would tell him who the right person is, right from the start.

Its all a money making scam.

Winston,
So far as a money making scam is concerned, maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. but to just disregard the 'afterlife'....well.
..thats people's beliefs. I have not seen a ghost, or a psychic, and I'm not particularly religious but there must be something there.....The times we live in now it would seem that alot of beliefs are gone simply because we've evolved...Witches cannot fly...if indeed there is such a thing as a witch, but you have to wonder why so many people still make lots of money from this industry? It's because we are still curious about something that many know nothing about...We want to understand this spiritual side of life....There are some rubbish one's but some very good one's. Seeing is believing. Why not go and see one....it might change your view...?

It is belief in an 'afterlife' that promotes most of the wars and killing in the world. Suicide bombers regularly blow themselves, and many innocent victims, to pieces, based on a belief in an 'afterlife'. Too many people in this world spend too much time worshipping and looking forward to death. All the major religions are just glorified death cults, worshipping dead prophets and glorifying 'meeting' their prophets.

There is no afterlife.

Live your life for life and the now, not for death tomorrow..
