A MAN has been charged with drink driving and failing to stop after a car flipped over and burst into flames.
The crash happened in Wash Road, Basildon, near to its junction with Gardiners Lane North about 2am Friday morning.
A blue Ford Focus careered off the road and flipped on to its side, before landing impaled on a metal fence at the side of the road.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
A 29-year-old man from Benfleet has been charged with drink driving and failing to stop and was released on bail to appear at Basildon Magistrates court on January 7.
