Car thieves strike again
1:47pm Tuesday 10th April 2012 in Echo News By Gina Marden
TWO cars in neighbouring streets were broken into during the same night.
The first incident happened in Great Gregorie, Laindon when thieves smashed the window of a Ford causing £100 damage.
Once inside they searched the car before stealing a sat nav worth £70.
At the same time thieves also targeted a Ford parked in nearby Ingaway. They again smashed the window, causing £100 damage, before stealing a Sony stereo worth £50.
The break-ins are part of a continuing spate of vehicle crime to hit the borough as the Echo revealed earlier this week.
The break-ins happened between 5pm on Saturday and 8.10am the next day, can contact PC Marek Jaworski at the Basildon.
