Street robbery in Pitsea

A ROBBER punched a teenager in the side of the face, before grabbing a wad of cash out of his hand.

The attacker approached the victim from behind in Market Retail Park, Pitsea, near to Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery which happened at about 7.30pm on July 20.

The 18-year-old victim, from Stanford-le-Hope was shhaken but  only received a minor injury to his face.

The suspect is described as a large white man, aged 20 to 40, and was wearing jeans and a black hoodie.

 

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Kennedy Emson at Basildon Target Offender team on 101 or Crimestoppers.
