DISABLED people from across Essex came together for their very own version of the Paralympic Games.
Lions Clubs in south Essex held their annual mid-summer sports day and fun festival at the King John School, Thundersley, providing vital opportunities for vulnerable children to come together, get active and meet new people.
Visitors enjoyed a host of activities, including shotput, javelin, archery, golf, five-a-side football, wheelchair slalom and cricket.
The Castle Point Lions’ band was also on hand to provide entertainment, warming up the crowds with an eclectic mix of Sixties and Seventies’ classics.
