VOTERS will go to the polls in Clacton in north Essex on October 9 after sitting MP Douglas Carswell quit the Tories and joined Ukip.
Pollsters suggest Mr Carswell, who is standing as Ukip's candidate, with a healthy majority.
One poll gave UKIP 64%, the Tories 20%, Labour 13% and Lib Dems 2%.
The result will be seen as a major test of the Tories ahead of next year's General Election. So do you think Ukip will take seats in Essex next year?
