THERE was fun at the fete, as pupils got their own back on teachers at a traditional end-of-term event.
Giffards Primary School, Corringham, put on its summer fete, with face painting, a teddy tombola, bouncy castles and a wet the teacher game among its attractions.
This event was part of the school’s effort to raise £40,000 to refurbish its playground and buy new play equipment. Donna Dickens, publicity officer for the school’s parent student association, said: “It is a massive project and we are working tremendously hard towards our goal.”
