A MAN who was asked for change for a £10 note ended up being robbed by three thugs.

The victim offered to help when two men and a woman asked him for change, in Park Lane, Southend.

But as he pulled cash out of his pocket, the thieves pushed him and grabbed his money.

He tried to make a grasp to get the £20 back, but was pushed a second time and sworn at, as the crooks got into a taxi.

The woman was white, around 23-years-old, 5ft 5in tall, with long brown hair and wearing a white coat.

One of the men was white, 6ft tall, big build with black hair and a blue shirt, while the other was white, 5ft 10in, skinny with a shaved head and wearing a red coat. Police want to hear from anyone with any information about the attack, which happened at 7.20pm on Monday. They also want to speak with the taxi driver, who picked up the three thugs.
