A WOMAN has been rescued from the sea by Southend's Lifeboat.
The lifeboat was launched at 3.10am on Wednesday to pick up the woman from the water by the Alexander Yacht Club near Westcliff.
She was described as being in a distressed state and treated on the shore by paramedics.
